The warm spices found in a chai latte are complemented by a shot of spiced rum.  Really, think about it, the warmth of rum and the spices found in the chai are the perfect combination.  Now, the question is which spiced rum?  The obvious choice is Key West Distilling‘s Spiced Rum.  This locally made rum is the perfect ingredient in a Spiced Rum Chai Latte.

You ask why this particular rum?  Their secret ingredient is cloves, which is also in the chai latte.  To save time, I use a Keurig version of chai latte.  It is an easy one step process to make the tea.  Once the tea has brewed, I pour a very generous shot of the Spiced Rum into the cup.

This Spiced Rum Chai Latte can also be served over ice.  Very refreshing on a warm afternoon.
