Kevin and I enjoy finding the smaller sole proprietor operations for a tour guide.  Lloyd’s Tropical Bike Tour, fits the bill.  Lloyd was featured on The Today Show when they came down to Key West.  He has been in operation for longer than he cares to admit.  His stories and off the beaten path tour is worth every cent.  We hit the back alleys and found all kinds of hidden treasures of Key West that the typical tourist doesn’t see.  We met a wonderful lady who runs a parrot rescue.  Her parrots and cockatoos were friendly and entertaining.  If you have face time, they will gladly show off for anyone on the other end while you hold them.  Several other stops included the bird rescue center, White’s Pier, Key West Cemetery, Tennessee Williams’ and Shel Silversteins’ homes.  Part of the fun of this tour is having Lloyd point out all of the tropical flowers and trees on the Island; as well as picking tropical fruit from the local’s yards.

Well worth the time and money to get a back ally view of Key West. If you want a unique tour with a great tour guide, you will not be disappointed with this choice. This is not your typical commercial tour company with 20 people on the tour and a hurry up approach. Lloyd will match the tour to meet your needs.
