Rumchata Pudding Shot Recipes

If you are not familiar with Rumchata it is a cream liquor that is made from rum, cream and a secret spice blend.  The spices have a hint of cinnamon.  Think about how a graham cracker tastes and that would be close to the taste of Rumchata.  Rumchata Pudding Shot recipes are my new addiction.  They are a small taste of frozen, smooth heaven.

I make mine in disposable cups with lids.  Think what salad dressing comes in at a restaurant  … that size.  They are easy to find and pretty inexpensive.   If you can find the disposable shot cups with lids, those work too.

These Pudding Shots only have four ingredients and go up very quickly.  They have a smooth texture, almost like ice cream… but with an adult kick!

This recipe makes many shots.  I had ended up with about 18 shots; which is great if you are serving for a gathering of friends.  The nice thing is they will keep in the freezer for about a month, so if there are left overs you can enjoy them over a longer period of time.

Step 1:

Mix a small box of instant pudding mix (chocolate fudge is my favorite) with 1 cup of Rumchata and 1 cup of milk (I use use skim).  Whisk until smooth.  Fold in one container (8 ounces) of thawed Cool Whip.

Step 2:

Spoon into cups (make sure they have lids).

Put the lids on and put into the freezer … about an hour or so. I like the cups with lids because they can be stored in the freezer for awhile … well not that long because any leftovers make great evening snacks.  If they freeze solid, let them sit out for a little bit and they will soften.
